Things You'll Need:
- liquid eyeliner
- your usual makeup
- neutral or brown eyeshadow (powder and cream)
- black pencil liner
- mirror
-
Step 1
Make sure your face is clean and free of old makeup. Apply blush and concealer if needed.
-
Step 2
Choose a subtle brown or neutral powder eyeshadow. Use a cream shadow as a base, then apply the powder shadow up to your brow bone.
-
Step 3
Line the inside of your bottom eyelid with black pencil liner, from the corners to the outer edges.
-
Step 4
Draw a light line extending from your eye's outer corner in an upward sweeping motion.
-
Step 5
Trace over the line with a felt-tipped liquid eyeliner pen. Retrace line over the upper lid at the lash line. Make sure your liner is even and comes to a point at the end.
-
Step 6
Apply liner until you've achieved your desired look. If you want your makeup to look more natural, leave the line thin and don't extend the end out too far. If you want to look outrageous, keep applying eyeliner until you look like Amy Winehouse.

on 3/22/2009 Sounds like you know your stuff, but somehow I still have a great fear of liquid eyeliner...or more accurately--how I might look while wearing liquid eyeliner.
