Throw a My Little Pony Birthday Party

My Little Pony is the sweet little pony toy introduced by Hasbro in the early 80's. The cute little toy inspires the imagination and makes a My Little Pony party a favorite for young children.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cut horseshoe shapes out of thin cardboard (such as a file folder) or make cards and draw on rainbows, sticker stars and hearts. Use glitter pens and write inviting guests to "Gallop over for a My Little Pony Party". Encourage them to bring their favorite My Little Pony along if they have one.

  2. Step 2

Decorate for the party using lavender, pink and silver balloons and streamers. Put a few My Little Pony toys on the party table and sprinkle confettti stars and hearts around them for a centerpiece.

  3. Step 3

Set up a face painting table and paint simple rainbow, heart, star, and moon shapes on your guest's faces using glitter facepaint.

  4. Step 4

Have guests decorate shoeboxes that have been covered in light pink or lavender construction paper using stickers, markers and confetti to make a Pony Palace for their My Little Pony. Or have have them decorate white paper bags which can be used as treat bags when the guests leave. You can also print off My Little Pony coloring pages and more at the official My Little Pony Hasbro site. (See resources)

  5. Step 5

Offer up My Little Pony treats, horsetrail mix (raisins, nuts, pretzels, dried fruit), carrots, sugar cookies cut in star and heart shapes, corn on the cob, and Pony Burgers (mini hamburgers). Serve a pink/lavender sheet cake decorated with sprinkles and pop a My Lil Pony in the middle for decoration. Put candy flowers around the edges.

  6. Step 6

Let your guests gallop off with treat bags. Fill with My Lil Pony charm bracelets, party favor My Little Pony toys, stickers, and candy. A sweet way to end a fun filled day!

Tips & Warnings
  • Give the kids time to free play with their ponies.
  • Keep the paint sticker area free of Ponies so no one messes up their My Little Pony.
