It may be hard to believe but some dogs suffer from car-sickness. If your dog get nauseous, uncomfortable, or perhaps even vomits in the car try this helpful tip!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    COMFORT

Try to make your dog as comfortable as possible. Provide him/her with their favorite blanket or toy. Use soothing words and a soothing voice as you coax your pooch in the car.

  2. Step 2

    VANILLA ICE CREAM

Yes, it's true. A small spoonful of vanilla ice cream before a car trip will soothe your dog's tummy. Not only will this help with the barfies, it will also get your dog stoked for car-rides if he/she knows the ice cream is coming!

  3. Step 3

    CONTINUE SOOTHING DURING THE RIDE

Pay attention to your dog's behavior. Does he/she get sick during certain situations? Do windy roads bother him/her mostly or does he/she get sick during mainly straight stretches as well? Try keeping your dog in a kennel during the trip to keep the windows out of sight. It they are only able to see outside it may trigger nausea.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always be aware of possible allergies, you should never knowingly allow your pet to consume foods known to cause reactions.
