Instructions

    • 1

Shut off your Tacoma's engine, remove the keys from the ignition and set the parking brake.

    • 2

Open the tailgate and remove the two bolts fastening the taillight assembly to the inside of the truck bed. Use a wrench to loosen the bolts if necessary.

    • 3

Disengage the taillight assembly from the truck by pulling it rearward.

    • 4

Twist the turn signal bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the taillight assembly.

    • 5

Lift the old bulb straight out of the socket and replace it with the new one. Then, twist the bulb socket back into the taillight assembly.

    • 6

Test your Tacoma's new turn signal to make sure it works. If it does, bolt the assembly back into place and close the tailgate.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you need help finding the turn signal bulb socket, check the taillight assembly diagram in Section 7-3 of your Tacoma owner's manual.

  • Don't touch the bulb socket unless you're sure the truck's electrical systems are deactivated. Doing otherwise exposes you to electrical shock.
