1
Pour 1 inch of water into the largest bowl. You can tint the water a light shade of blue, yellow, green or orange. Any color will do so long as you keep it light enough to seen through. Try to compliment the colors of the fruits and flowers you've chosen. Put it in the freezer, making sure it is sitting completely flat, until it is completely frozen. It should be done in a few hours for a very large bowl.

Take the first bowl out when the ice is frozen completely. Stand the second one in the exact center of the first bowl. Make sure it's centered. Put tape around the bowls a couple of times in each direction to hold the inside bowl steady.

3
Pour cool water between the two bowls. Let it fill up half way. Add citrus slices down the sides. You may want to use a butter knife or a spoon to push them down in place.

4
Put edible flowers in after or in place of the citrus fruit slices. You can use roses, violets, Johnny Jump Ups, marigolds, peach or pear blossoms, begonia or nasturtium. For a complete list, go The Garden Helper website.

5
Tape the bowls as before and return them to the freezer until the liquid freezes into solid ice. This will take at least three hours for a small bowl and up to eight hours for a very large one.
-
6
Take the tape off the bowls. Lift the first bowl out of the second. It should come out cleanly. If it wants to stick a little bit, run some lukewarm water over the back of the outside bowl for a few minutes. Be careful not to let it get too warm and start to melt the ice, though.

Tips & Warnings
Make small ice bowls to hold cranberry sauce or other relishes. Use large ones to hold clear punches (clear apple juice and a clear soft drink will work nicely) or drinks or cut up vegetables.
Don't get your bowl fixed for serving until the very last other things are done. This way it will stay nice longer.
