Things You'll Need:
- Hair mousse
- Hot rollers
- Comb
- Brush
- Hair wrap
- Holding spray
-
Step 1
Choose the hot roller size. The roller should be as large as your hair can take to ensure you end up with more body and less curl. Heat the rollers to the maximum for 15 to 20 minutes.
-
Step 2
Apply a generous amount of hair mousse to your already-dry hair.
-
Step 3
After heating the rollers, part your hair into nine sections. Taking one section, wrap the hair around the roller starting from the ends. If you have a mixture of medium and large rollers, use the medium ones around the perimeter and the large ones in the crown of the head where the hair is usually longest.
-
Step 4
Wait approximately 20 minutes or until the rollers have cooled completely.
-
Step 5
Remove the rollers. This is done by releasing the clasp or holder and letting the roller fall into your hand. Do not pull the roller from the hair. Instead, allow it to fall when released.
-
Step 6
Once all of the hair is unrolled, use a wide tooth comb to begin a usual wrap. Parting the hair in the front where your part usually falls, start to comb around the head until all hair is wrapped around the circumference. Tie in place with a hair wrap. For overnight, apply additional bonnet.
-
Step 7
Allow it to sit for 30 minutes. After sitting, remove the wrap and begin to comb down the hair with a wide-tooth comb at the part. Style as desired.
