Things You'll Need
- Small Styrofoam craft ball
- Halloween spider rings
- Scissors
- Cotton balls or fake spider web
- String or yarn
- Clear or white glow-in-the dark spray
- Tape
- Large fake spider
Instructions
-
-
1
Tape a string or piece of yarn to the top of the Styrofoam craft ball. Make sure to secure it well, as this is what you will use to hang your spider's nest up.
-
2
Tie the string that is attached to your Styrofoam ball onto an object in the location where you want it displayed. It is easier to decorate the ball once it is in place.
-

3
Pull some cotton balls into thin strands and drape them around the string on the top of the Styrofoam ball and each other. You can use a fake spider web that is bought from the store if you would rather not use cotton balls. Rub two pieces of the cotton balls or fake web together to make them stick to each other. For the best effect, make the web wispy and long.
-
4
Use some clear or white glow-in-the-dark paint or spray all over the spider web to make your nest show up at night.
-
5
Cut the round ring part off of the spider rings with scissors. These tiny spiders are perfect for this craft, but they need to have the circles cut off of them to look more realistic.
-
6
Hang the various little spiders onto the spider web surrounding the nest--you can use as many as you like.
-
7
For a finishing touch, perch a large fake spider on top of the nest. The more realistic the spider the better, and you can use glue to secure it if you are worried that it will come off.
