Things You'll Need:
- New spark plugs
- Plug wire remover (optional)
- Spark Plug Wrench
-
Step 1
First of all, you'll have to locate the spark plugs.
They are found on top of the engine manifold cover and there are about eight spark plugs there. -
Step 2
You'll find a couple of plug wires on the spark plugs.
You can remove them by pulling them, holding on to the end near the plug, and pulling it out with a bit of force.
You can also use plug wire removers to make the job easier. -
Step 3
Now, using a spark plug wrench, loosen the plug.
When you feel the plug is about to come off, remove it using your hands. -
Step 4
Insert the new plug in its place.
Slowly tighten the plug on to the holder.
When you are sure it won't fall off the holder, tighten it as much as possible using the wrench.
Make sure you don't damage the plug in doing so. -
Step 5
Push the plug wires back on to the plug. Make sure they are tight enough and that they do not fall off.
-
Step 6
Repeat steps 2-5 for the remaining seven plugs if you need to replace all of them.
