Things You'll Need:
- A web browser
- An Internet connection
-
Step 1
The first site of interest is Colour Lovers (see Resources below for a link). This site covers color trends and provides color palettes that you can use in your projects.
-
Step 2
Adobe has a site called Kuler. Kuler is all about color palettes and provides samples or lets you play around with the color tools and create your own palette.
-
Step 3
Color Combos has tools to help you select a color palette. If you see a website with a color scheme you like, Color Combos has a tool to help you figure out what that color scheme is.
-
Step 4
Often designers want to derive a color palette from a photograph that will form an important design element in a project. A tool that will help you determine the colors in a photo is the Color Palette Generator from DeGraeve.
-
Step 5
Palette Man has been helping people choose color schemes on the web since the very early days, and it's still a great place for color inspiration.

on 9/22/2008 My sister is into a lot of the same things that you are - all of these web elements that make my head spin...lol I have to say though that in looking over your articles you've made some of these topics understandable and accessible for tech illiterate people like me! :-)
