How to Calculate the Volume of a Rectangular Prism with Excel
One of the features of Microsoft Excel is its ability to calculate math problems automatically by referencing data from different cells. This allows you to use an Excel spreadsheet to calculate the volume of rectangular prisms with different dimensions by inputting a single formula and changing the length, width and height values. Multiply the length, width and height of a rectangular prism to find its volume.

Type "Volume" in cell A4.
-
5
Click cell B4 -- the cell immediately to the right of the word "Volume."
-
6
Type "=B1*B2*B3" in cell B4 and press "Enter." This tells Excel to display the product of the rectangular prism's length, width and height values in the cell.
