Two-loop bows can be used in crafts, floral decorations and on clothing. You can sew a bow on a hat or hot glue it to a barrette for the back of a child's hair. Tulle can be tied into decorative bows for wedding decorations. The ribbon shown is 1 1/2 inches wide, an easier size to use when making your first two loop bow.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Holding the ribbon in both hands, form a ring and cross one end over the other.

  2. Step 2

Tie a very loose knot in the center.

  3. Step 3

Make sure the print or right side of the ribbon is up by working it with your fingers. Slowly tighten the knot.

  4. Step 4

Form a loop about an 1 1/2 inches long on the right side of the knot. Pinch and hold the knot.

  5. Step 5

Wrap the loose tail from the left hand side around the loop.

  6. Step 6

Make a loop and push it through with your index finger as you would tie a bow in your shoelace. Make sure that you go slowly and keep the ribbon right side up.

  7. Step 7

Adjust the second loop. Using both hands slowly and firmly pull both loops out . Keep them the same size.

  8. Step 8

Pull on the ribbon to shape the width of the loops, keeping the right side of the ribbon out..

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice on inexpensive ribbon in different widths.
  • If the bow center is not tight enough it will come apart.
