  1. Step 1

Before you book your flight, research the availability of vacation rental properties in the greater Miami area. Include oceanfront condos in your search, as well as properties that are also within walking distance to the beaches. Look at residential neighborhoods outside Miami Beach. In the greater Miami area, cities like Aventura, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, North Bay Village, Surfside and Sunny Isles Beach have plenty of waterfront properties offering vacation rentals.

  2. Step 2

Select three to four properties that you are interested in based on your vacation budget and needs, like the number of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a family of four, for example. If you are considering an oceanfront condo, ask about amenities such as spa and gym offerings, boat rentals and charters and concierge service.

  3. Step 3

While contacting a local realtor will certainly make it easier to find the right beach house or oceanfront condo for your vacation, you can review rental properties online at such sites as Miami Beach Vacation Rental House, which offers relevant information on available properties including price, location and photo galleries.

  4. Step 4

Decide whether you want to travel during the high season, which runs from October through March, or during the low season, from April through September. Keep in mind that you will pay higher rental prices in the high season. Secure your rental by paying a deposit.
