1
Begin with a clean face. Make sure you use a moisturizer to hydrate your skin, especially with the onset of cooler weather. After applying the moisturizer, but before applying the foundation, use a makeup primer for a smoother makeup application. Apply foundation, concealer and camouflage. Groom brows and fill in with a brow pencil for fullness.

Select the part of your face you want to stand out the most. Do you want well-defined eyes, cheeks that pop or noticeably luscious lips? Whichever one you pick, play down the other two. Remember to choose orange toned colors.

Make eyes come alive by choosing a vibrant orange shadow. It can be a vivid orange with a matte texture or a lighter orange with noticeable shimmer to compensate for the softer shade. First, smooth on an eye makeup primer to help the color really come alive and last longer. Stipple shadow on from lash line to crease with a flat eyeshadow brush. Apply windshield-wiper motions, using a blending brush, to carry the color past the crease in a graduated effect. Neutrally enhance browbones with a flesh tone eyeshadow. Finish eyes off by defining and opening them with a warm dark brown eyeliner and a matching mascara on both top and bottom lash lines. Polish cheeks and lips with soft peach or apricot.

Get yourself glowing with a blush that is golden orange, or golden peach if you are lighter-skinned. Blush with very fine flecks of golden shimmer is ideal for this look. Apply over apples of cheeks with a fluffy blush brush. Touch a flesh tone highlighter onto the tops of your cheekbones to further draw attention to cheeks. With a makeup sponge, blend away any harsh edges in your cheek and cheekbone makeup. Wear soft peach this time on eyes from lash line to crease, with the same eyeliner and mascara as in Step 3. Your lips should be fine with a sheer peachy gloss to not detract attention away from your autumnal blush.

Embolden your lips by choosing a lively orange that works with your skin tone. Coral may be as far as you can go if you have a lighter complexion. However, a high degree of pigmentation in a creme lipstick still makes the color a knockout. Line lips and fill them in with a liner that matches your lipstick or is at least very close to it if you can't find an exact match. This helps your lip color stay in place so it doesn't bleed or feather. Use a lip brush to spread an even coat of lipstick on. Fill inside your lip line completely; don't forget the inner corners of your mouth. Dab clear gloss onto the center of your bottom lip if you want. Keep your cheeks light as in Step 2, and play eyes down as in Step 4.
