How to Make Chamomile Iced Tea

Many of us are familiar with hot chamomile tea, known for its beneficial soothing and calming qualities. However, iced chamomile tea with a splash of apple juice and grape juice is also delicious, and very refreshing. Try some iced chamomile tea on a hot summer afternoon.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup water
  • Small saucepan with lid
  • 1 tsp. dried chamomile blossoms
  • Pitcher
  • 4 tbsp. white grape juice
  • 4 tbsp. apple juice
  • 2 tall glasses
  • Ice cubes
  • Chilled apple slices and grapes for garnish
  • Lemon slices
  • Honey
  1. Step 1

    Put 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium high heat.

  2. Step 2

    Add 1 tsp. of dried chamomile blossoms to the boiling water and put the lid on the saucepan. Let the mixture simmer for about 30 seconds.

  3. Step 3

    Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly before putting the chamomile tea in a pitcher. Set the container in the refrigerator to cool completely before proceeding.

  4. Step 4

    Mix the chilled chamomile tea with 4 tbsp. white grape juice and 4 tbsp. apple juice.

  5. Step 5

    Put several ice cubes in two tall glasses and pour the chamomile tea mixture over the ice cubes.

  6. Step 6

    Garnish the glasses with chilled grapes and apple slices, and serve.

  7. Step 7

    Serve the chamomile iced tea with lemon slices and honey as desired.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you want to save time, make chamomile tea from two regular tea bags, and then add the white grape juice and apple juice as directed above.
