1
Wash your face properly if you have troubled skin. Wash your face every morning and evening with an all-natural Castile soap. Don't use hot water or a rough washcloth; both will irritate your skin.
-
2
Use a cotton ball to smooth an all-natural, gentle toner over your face and neck after cleansing. Toner will close your pores, freshen your skin, and restore pH balance. Avoid toners that contain alcohol. Cooled green tea or rosewater make easy and effective toners for troubled skin.

Follow toner with an all-natural and gentle moisturizer that won't irritate your skin. If your face is oily, try tea tree oil, jojoba oil or aloe vera. If your skin is dry and irritated, smooth on some cold pressed olive oil or carrot seed oil. Honey makes an excellent moisturizer for troubled skin of any type. Just smooth it on lightly, leave it for a few minutes, and rinse it with lukewarm water.

Get plenty of rest, at least 7 hours per night. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fresh fruits and a variety of vegetables. Avoid fried foods and excessive sugar.
