How to Find Free Flight Simulator 2004 Downloads

Microsoft Flight Simulator is as close to flying as you can get on your personal computer. Flight Simulator 2004 allows you to sit in the cockpit of dozens of aircraft and run the controls. One of the most exciting aspects for owners of the Flight Simulator software is the ability to go online and download new aircraft and missions. There are numerous free add-ons for Flight Simulator 2004.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Visit the ZDNet Flight Simulator 2004 downloads page in the Resources section. Look around at the different options. There are many downloads available to coincide with the Flight Simulator 2004 that can allow you to do more and more things with this application. ZDnet has free Flight Simulator downloads for Concorde's last flight plan, a massive crash mode, aircraft editor and adventure flights over Zimbabwe.

  2. Step 2

    Download the free Flight Simulator 2004 aircraft editor by joining ZDNet with a free membership registration. Go to the ZDNet home page and click on Join Now. Type in your email address and make up a password for the site. A confirmation email is sent to you. Click on the link in the email and log in to the ZDNet system. Click on the aircraft editor software from the link in the Resources section.

  3. Step 3

    Click Download on the aircraft editor software or on another free download page for the 2004 Flight Simulator. Click Save to save the program to your computer. Install the software and click Run to start the aircraft editor software.

  4. Step 4

    Check out the other free downloads available for Flight Simulator also available on Download.com. You will find a great deal of free downloads to enhance your Flight Simulator experience.

Tips & Warnings
  • Microsoft is the maker of Flight Simulator, so check out its download website to see what's available before searching the Internet. Most downloads on Microsoft's site are not free, however.
  • For a reasonable price, there are software packages available at your local retailer to optimize your Flight Simulator with the most up-to-date downloads.
  • ZDnet requires you to register before downloading free products from its site. The good news is it's free to register.
