Things You'll Need:
- eBay Account
- Rite Aid Store
- Internet Connection
- Time
-
Step 1
If you are not familiar with Rite Aid stores, visit RiteAid.com and determine if any stores are within a reasonable driving distance from your home.
-
Step 2
You do not need a card or membership to participate in this program. You will need to register on line to submit your rebate information. Visit RiteAid.com and sign up for the Single Check Rebate (SCR). Rebates can also be sent in my mail, but submitting them online is much more efficient and your rebate check arrives faster when you submit the information online.
-
Step 3
Visit a Rite Aid store and look for the store circulars on a stand near the front door.
-
Step 4
Pick up a copy of the current month's Single Check Rebate Catalog. This catalog will show all of the items that will have rebates.
-
Step 5
Now, things can get a little tricky. Each week, Rite Aid will feature a few items that will be free after the rebate. In other words, all of the items in the monthly SCR Catalog will not have the same shelf price all month, so you have to pay attention to the dates in the ads. Some items are only "free after rebate" for 3 days during the month.
For example, Herbal Essences shampoo may have a regular shelf price of $2.49. It may also be listed in the Rite Aid SCR Catalog with a rebate of $1.99. For one week out of the month, the "sale" price on the shampoo might be $1.99. If you purchase the item during the "sale" timeframe, your item will be free after the rebate. If you don't purchase the item during the sale timeframe, you will still get the $2 rebate, but your out of pocket cost will be 49 cents. -
Step 6
Visit your Rite Aid store on Sundays or look in your Sunday paper for the upcoming week's sales circular.
-
Step 7
Read the weekly sales circular and find which products are "free after rebate." Study the circular at home where you can focus on your plan for getting free prodcuts, and know what to look for before walking into the store.
-
Step 8
Visit the Rite Aid store and purchase the "free after rebate" products. You will have to pay for these products out of your pocket. You will be reimbursed later when you get your rebate check.
-
Step 9
You may use manufacturer coupons whe purchashing "free after rebate" items. For example, if Rite Aid offers Crest toothpaste as a "free after rebate item," and you have a $1 off manufacturer's coupon, you can use the coupon when checking out. In this situation, you will have made a profit of $1 on the Crest toothpaste.
-
Step 10
Save your receipts from your Rite Aid purchases. When you return home from purchasing a "free after rebate" item, visit RiteAid.com and sign in to your SCR account.
-
Step 11
You will enter the information about the rebate products now. Simply enter the store number, register number, and transaction number from your receipts into the appropriate boxes. Rite Aid does the rest. Their computer / store register matching system will determine if you purchased any qualifying rebate items and keep a tally for the month on how much your SCR will be.
-
Step 12
Continue to enter receipts with qualifing products throughout the month. You can either enter the receipts as you make purchases, or all at once.
-
Step 13
At the end of the month, or by the "due date" shown on the SCR status page, submit your information and request your check.
-
Step 14
The great thing about the Rite Aid SCR is that you get an actual check that you can deposit or cash, and spend any way you wish. Some other rebate programs only offer store credit or coupons, but Rite Aid actually sends you money!
-
Step 15
After submitting your request for the rebate, expect your rebate check within 2 weeks.
