3. Coordinate food and beverage items with your other neighbors. A neighborhood party can be a great way to learn to enjoy new dishes. Perhaps your next door neighbor makes a great dessert, for example. Make sure that nobody makes the same food item. This will give your neighborhood party more variety.

4. Pick up plenty of tables to place food on for your neighborhood party.
