Put a Link on Facebook to your eHow Profile or Article

Want to increase your eHow article traffic and show all your friends the great work you are doing here on eHow? You can add links to your Facebook Profile to either a particlular article, your list of articles, or your profile. Read on to see how!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open another window in your browser (leaving this one open also).
In that window, log onto your profile page on Facebook.
Under your picture, click on Edit my Profile.
    Choose the Contact tab.
Scroll down to the box that says Website. In this box, you can put the URLs for multiple websites. Each URL has to start with "http". You can't have additional text describing the website.

  2. Step 2

To add a link to your eHow Profile, copy the following:

    http://www.ehow.com/members/lostmarble.html

(Note! You can copy by marking the text, then hitting CTRL-c on your keyboard.)

Now go back to your Facebook Contact page. Click in the Website box, then paste. (You can paste by hitting CTRL-v.) THEN change MY eHow ID (lostmarble) to YOUR eHow ID.

  3. Step 3

To add a link to your eHow List of Articles, copy the following:

    http://www.ehow.com/members/lostmarble-articles.html

(Note! You can copy by marking the text, then hitting CTRL-c on your keyboard.)

Now go back to your Facebook Contact page. Click in the Website box, then paste. (You can paste by hitting CTRL-v.) THEN change MY eHow ID (lostmarble) to YOUR eHow ID (leaving the -articles).

  4. Step 4

To add a link to a particular eHow article, do the following:

Open another window and navigate to eHow. Find your article that you want to link to. Go to the page with the article. At the top of the page, copy the URL for that article (starts with "http" and ends with "html").

An example of one of mine: http://www.ehow.com/how_4477236_sub-that-kids-will-love.html

(Note! You can copy by marking the the text, then hitting CTRL-c on your keyboard.)

Now go back to your Facebook Contact page. Click in the Website box, then paste. (You can paste by hitting CTRL-v.)

  5. Step 5

Click SAVE CHANGES on the Facebook page. It should come back with the same screen with "Changes saved." at the top.
Click Profile to return to your profile page.
Now, find the Contact information on your profile page and the link(s) that you added should be there. Your friends can now go directly to your eHow profile or articles by clicking the link!
