If you have some fresh and exciting fonts you want to use, you can add them to Windows Vista. Adding fonts requires that you have some to add that don't come preloaded with Vista. Many free fonts are available online. These must be downloaded to your computer before you can add them to your Vista operating system.

Instructions

      Click "Start" and "Control Panel."

      Click "Appearance and Personalization."

      Click "Fonts."

    • 4

      Click "File" and then "Install New Font."

      Click the drive under Drives where you downloaded the font you want to add.

    • 6

      Double-click the folder holding the font you want to add.

    • 7

      Click the font you want to add under List of Fonts and click "Install."

Tips & Warnings

  • If the font you downloaded is a zipped file, you need to unzip the file before you can install it in Vista. Unzip the file by double-clicking it.
