How to Play The Drinking Game Land Mines

The Drinking Game Land Mines is a game that you can play with a group of friends at home or at a local bar. It's easier to play at home though, as some bars will not enjoy the slamming of bottles or cans that are part of the game. The Drinking Game Land Mines not only challenges how much you can drink, but your dexterity as well.

Things You'll Need

• Beer Bottles or cans
• Table
• Coin

Instructions

1. Get together with anywhere from one to three friends to have a few beers and play a drinking game together. The minimum number of players in the drinking game Land Mines, is two, and the maximum should be five. This will keep the difficulty level from getting too high in this drinking game.

2. Spin a coin. The player that spun the coin must now capture the coin under a beer can or bottle that they are holding. If the player fails to flatten the coin successfully under the beer bottle, that player must take a drink from their own beer bottle and spin again.

3. Guess if the coin is either heads or tails. If the player that spun the coin captures the coin cleanly under his or her beer bottle or can, he or she must now guess if the coin landed heads up or tails up. If the player is incorrect, they must take a drink from their own beer bottle and spin again.

4. Guess the coin correctly and the role of the "spinner" passes clockwise to the next player at the table.

5. Finish a beer and place it anywhere on the table that you wish. When placing a beer on the table this becomes a landmine. The landmine makes it harder for players to spin the coin and cover it cleanly with their own beer bottle.

Tips & Warnings

• Some players add a rule that the game starts with full beer bottles on the table to have landmines present in the beginning of the table. Under that variation, if the coin hits a landmine with beer in it , the player that spun the coin must take a drink from that bottle of beer. If the coin hits multiple bottles, the player must drink one drink from each bottle. To make this interesting, order some really poor tasting beers to use as landmines at the beginning of the game.

• This game has a high potential for players drinking more than their normal limit. If you are playing it at a bar, you must have a designated driver. If played at home, offer to let anyone that has had too much to drink the opportunity to stay the night.
