How to Un-Stick The Trackball On A Blackberry

The following tip is not recommended by Research In Motion (RIM), but many Blackberry users have found it helpful when their Blackberry trackball becomes stuck.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    To be sure you don't pour too much, first pour a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol into the top of the alcohol bottle or use an eyedropper to extract a few drops from the bottle.

  2. Step 2

    Pour a few drops of rubbing alcohol directly onto your Blackberry's trackball.

  3. Step 3

    Roll your Blackberry's trackball around until it begins to work again.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the above tip doesn't work for you, try resetting your Blackberry by removing the phone's battery for several minutes before re-inserting it.
