How to Register a Business Name in Minnesota
The Minnesota Secretary of State requires a Certificate of Assumed Name on certain business entities conducting business under a name different legal name. Certificate of Assumed Name is required for individual, corporation and limited partnership and limited liability. The Minnesota Secretary of State requires a single of $25.00 fee in order to successfully register a business name in Minnesota. The business Certificate of Assumed Name will be valid for 10 years from the date of filing.
