How to make a cupcake pincushion out of felt

This adorable cupcake does two things that might help you, to use up some of your wool fabric scraps and add a little whimsy to your craft area! Lastly, it will give a home to all of your wandering pins that you might have laying around in your craft area. When you make this cute cupcake and take it to your next quilting bee you will be given the gold star for creativity and craftiness! Things You'll Need
- Recycled wool sweater
- Basic sewing supplies
- Small felt balls
- Fabric glue
- Scissors

Cut two pieces of felted wool in coordinating colors measuring 5"x10". Fold rectangle in half and pin along the open edge of the piece of fabric.

Baste cupcake sleeve to roll. With the right sides together, stitch of the ends of the sleeve together. Slide the ribbed sleeve onto the cupcake roll, making sure that the raw edges are 1/2 down the top of the cupcake and baste down all around the cupcake.

Flip cupcake sleeve down. Turn the ribbed sleeve right side out, rolling it downto cover the roll.

Sew scrap to bottom of cupcake.

Glue trim to the circumference of cupcake to decorate.

Tips & Warnings
To make a smaller cupcake just cut the strips narrower than the original measurement.
Try adding felt flowers for more of a female touch.
