Instructions

    • 1

Cut two pieces of felted wool in coordinating colors measuring 5"x10". Fold rectangle in half and pin along the open edge of the piece of fabric.

    • 2
      Offset pieces

Lay one rectangle ontop of the other, lining up the folds and offsetting the top rectangle by 1/2" to the left. Starting at the right end, roll the two pieces together stretching the fabric gentlly as you roll.

    • 3
      Keep rolling!

Continue rolling the fabric until the diameter of the roll equals about 2 1/2".Trim away the excess. Secure the roll with pins.

    • 4
      Sew to secure

Sew the ends of the fabric to secure the roll and remove the pins. Trim the excess on the bottom of the roll so that it lays flat.

    • 5
      Wrap around

Measure and cut ribbing for cupcake wrapper. Measure the ribbing piece by wrapping it around the basted roll.

    • 6

Baste cupcake sleeve to roll. With the right sides together, stitch of the ends of the sleeve together. Slide the ribbed sleeve onto the cupcake roll, making sure that the raw edges are 1/2 down the top of the cupcake and baste down all around the cupcake.

    • 7

Flip cupcake sleeve down. Turn the ribbed sleeve right side out, rolling it downto cover the roll.

    • 8

Sew scrap to bottom of cupcake.

    • 9

Glue trim to the circumference of cupcake to decorate.

    • 10
      Tasty treat!

Decorate cupcake to your tastes. I like to put a faux cherry on the cupcake but you might want to choose another decoration. Open the center of the cupcake slightly and apply glue to the space that is exposed and place the felt ball there and press to secure.
