Queso or Cheese Dip is a long time party favorite. Here is an awesome recipe that everyone will enjoy.
Things You'll Need
- Box of Velveeta
- can of tomatoes with green chiles
- 2 cloves garlic
- tsp cumin
- can chicken broth
- medium onion
- 2 tbs corn starch
Chop and saute onions and garlic until tender.
Add tomatoes/chiles, chicken broth, and cumin. Heat to boiling.
Cut Velveeta into one inch cubes and slowly add to the boiling sauce. Stir continuously until cheese is completely melted.
Mix cornstarch with two tbs of cold water in a small bowl. Slowly stir into cheese mixture to thicken. Stir until boiling.
Continue to stir until desired consistency. Dip will thicken slightly as it cools. Use more cornstarch/water mixture if needed as a last resort.
Serve warm with chips.
Tips & Warnings
- If you prefer a spicier dip, you may include a couple of fresh chopped jalapenos with the onion and garlic.
