How to Make a Knight's Helmet

Origami is the ancient Japanese art of paper folding. Origami gives both children and adults a glimpse into Japanese culture while learning to make something fascinating with a simple piece of paper. With only a few folds, you can transform an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper into a knight's helmet. If available, you might want to make your helmet using silver paper. Neon pink is used in the illustration to provide a bright contrast so you’ll be able to see all the folds properly.

Things You'll Need

• One sheet 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper

1. 

   Fold the paper in half. Unfold it.

2. 

   Fold it in half in the opposite direction.

3. 

   Fold top corners down to the center line.

4. 

   Fold the bottom flap up.

5. 

   Unfold the paper completely.

6. 

   Fold the top points into the center.

7. 

   Fold the flaps that are together toward the back.

8. 

   Fold the top two points to the middle.

9. 

   Fold the bottom flap up three times.

10. 

    Turn the paper over and fold it in half. Tuck the flaps to lock them.
