Step 1
Close and seal all points of lubrication on the vehicle. This includes the oil intake, gas filler area and any engine areas with access to internal components. Close off the exhaust area as well.
-
Step 2
Place the vehicle on a flat surface and secure with tire chalks and engage the braking system.
-
Step 3
Allow the Polaris Ranger to cool off before washing and cleaning. Turn off the engine and wait until the vehicle is completely cool to the touch before cleaning.
-
Step 4
Spray the Ranger down with a jet of water to remove all of the dirt and mud. Use a bucket of water and soap to wash down the entire vehicle.
-
Step 5
Use a commercial ATV cleaner to better remove grime and rubber deposits from the Polaris Ranger. Removing the grime prevents rust from forming and rubber deposits leave pits if not removed. Wipe down the interior of the vehicle with a damp cloth.
-
Step 6
Dry the Polaris Ranger with a soft cloth or simply drive the ATV until dry. Air dry to save fuel costs.
-
Step 7
Put a coat of ATV wax on the unit to preserve the paint and decals.
