How to Make Homemade Beauty Treatments With Rosemary
Rosemary is one of the most popular herbs for beauty treatments, with very good reason. When used on the hair, rosemary nourishes the scalp and gives luster to dry hair; and when used on the skin, it will tone it and replace lost moisture. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 6 tsp. rosemary essential oil
- 1 scant tsp. lavender essential oil
- Small container
- Brush or comb
- 5 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 1/2 cup dried rose petals
- 3 1/2 cups witch hazel
- Strainer
- Airtight container
- 1 tbsp. dried or fresh rosemary
- 2 tbsp. dried chamomile blossoms, or 1/4 cup fresh
- 4 cups distilled water
- Saucepan
Instructions

Rosemary Deep Conditioner

Put 6 tsp. of rosemary essential oil in a small container.

Add 1 scant tsp. of lavender essential oil and mix well.

Put a few drops of the rosemary deep conditioner in your hand and work it through your hair. Brush or comb your hair to distribute the conditioner, and don't rinse the conditioner from your hair.

Use the conditioner on your hair as needed.
Rosemary Toner

Mix 6 sprigs of fresh or dried rosemary with 2/3 cup of dried rose petals and 4 cups of witch hazel.

Strain the mixture into an airtight container and discard the herbs.

Wash your face and splash on a bit of rosemary facial toner.

Use the rosemary facial toner as needed.
Rosemary and Chamomile Facial Mask

Place 1 tbsp. dried or fresh rosemary, 2 tbsp. dried chamomile blossoms or 1/4 cups fresh blossoms and 4 cups distilled water in a saucepan.

Bring the mixture to a boil and allow it to simmer for 15 minutes.

Strain the herbs out of the mixture. Discard the herbs and reserve the rosemary herbal water.

Smooth the rosemary herbal water on your face and leave it for 25 to 30 minutes.
