How to Make a Fun Trinket Box

Can't think of a cool and personal gift? This box is not only fun, but it makes a great kid project too! You can make one for a friend or your sweetie, and add what you want.

Things You'll Need:

• An unfinished wooden box- find them at a craft store
• Paint (acrylic or craft paint works) of any color
• Colorful paper of your choice
• Gluestick
• Your choice of stickers, pictures, trinkets, etc.

1. 

   Pick out a wooden box from a craft store that you like. It can be any size and shape. Pick out some inexpensive craft paint in the colors you want. Start by painting the outside of the box one or many colors.

2. 

   Now go to the inside of the box. You can paint the inside, or line it with some colorful scrapbook paper. Trim the paper to fit the inside of the box first, then glue the back of it and press it in.

3. 

   Now it's time to add the accessories inside the box. Put pictures, trinkets, jewelry, or anything that has meaning to you and the receiver of the box. You can glue some items inside and also set some loose items in. You can also glue pictures and other things to the outside to add interest. Paint their name on the outside stick letter stickers on it.

Tips & Warnings

• This is your creation, so you get to do whatever you want!
• When painting the box, you may have to paint the top and sides and then wait for it to dry before painting the bottom.
