How to Remove Price Tag Stickers

The feeling of getting a new product can be dampened by realizing that there is a price tag sticker that just will not come off of it. Fortunately you probably have all of the supplies you will need to safely and easily remove a price tag sticker without ruining your new purchase.

    Things You'll Need

    • Q-tips
    • Baby oil, vegetable oil, or rubbing alcohol
    • Razor blade

        Wet a Q-tip with baby oil or rubbing alcohol when working with price tags on glass. You will want to saturate the sticker with the chosen solution. Allow it to set and use a razor blade to scrape the sticker away.

        Use vegetable oil to moisten the Q-tip if your price tag is on plastic. You will them moisten the sticker with the vegetable oil and allow it to sit for five minutes. You can usually just rinse away the sticker with some warm water, but you might want to scrub it with a cleaning brush.

        Try to use your fingernail to remove a price gag that is cardboard . If you still can not get it off you will want to moisten it with rubbing alcohol. You can then simply scrape the sticker off.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Using a Q-tip will let you focus the solution only on the price tag.

    • Do not excessively moisten the sticker, especially if you are working with cardboard.
