How to Refill Brother Printer Ink

You can save quite a bit of money by refilling your Brother ink cartridges. It is a very simple process that can be completed within a few minutes. It is always a good idea to refill your ink cartridge as soon as it runs out of ink. If you wait too long, the inside could dry up, and the new ink could clog when you try to use the cartridge.

Things You'll Need

• Ink refill kit
• Latex gloves
• Toothpick
• Towel

Instructions

1. Lay the towel down on your work surface to avoid making a mess, and put on the latex gloves.

2. Remove the film or cover from the filling hole. If refilling a color cartridge, insert a toothpick into the filling hole to ensure you have the correct color hole.

3. Connect the needle to the syringe and fill it with ink. Hold the ink cartridge upright and inset the needle into the filling hole. Start filling the cartridge with ink slowly so as not to overfill.

4. Remove syringe and rinse out with water. Save for future use.

5. Cover filling hole, place the cartridge back in the printer, and print out a test page.
