How to Make Halloween Punch With Dry Ice
Halloween is kind of like the unofficial kick off of the holiday season. If that isn't reason enough for you to look forward to Halloween, there is also the fact that you get to dress in any ridiculous costume you choose with out so much as a sideways glance from others. If you plan on throwing a Halloween bash this year then you might be thinking about displaying a nice foggy bowl of punch on your snack table. The following steps will help you to learn how to make Halloween punch with dry ice.

Things You'll Need
- Larger plastic or glass punch bowl
- Smaller plastic or glass punch bowl
- Dry ice
- Tongs
- Warm water
- Punch

Place a small amount of warm water in the bottom of your larger plastic or glass punch bowl; this warm water will react with your dry ice to give you the desired foggy effect.

Add your dry ice to the warm water at the bottom of your larger plastic or glass punch bowl using your tongs. Do not touch the dry ice with your bare skin under any circumstance as it can leave you with some pretty nasty burns.

Place your smaller plastic or glass punch bowl inside the larger plastic or glass punch bowl.

Fill the smaller plastic or glass punch bowl with your punch. Any regular bottled fruit punch mixed with Sprite makes a great sparkling punch. Others prefer the sherbert and Sprite mixture.

Make sure that small children and pets are kept away from the dry ice because it can cause burns if it comes in contact with skin. The fog is also not good for breathing because it carbon dioxide from the dry ice.

Tips & Warnings
For added Halloween spirit you can float some fake eyeballs, spiders or even vomit in your punch.
Do not transport your dry ice in an air tight container because that may result in an explosion, instead transport your dry ice in a styrofoam container who's lid is slightly loose fitting.
Do not use metal punch bowls, they will conduct too much of the cold from the dry ice and could hurt anyone who was to touch them. Think about it like sticking your tongue to a metal pole outside on a cold and frosty winter day.
