How to Win at Diner Dash: Hometown Hero

Diner Dash is the game you love to hate. With every incarnation, the temptation to play Flo the waitress hour after hour, serving the hungry patrons in each of her restaurants. Hometown Hero adds a few twists because now you are back in Flo's hometown. There are even competing waiters in some levels. Although a good amount of winning levels in Diner Dash is through trial and error, there are ways to get ahead in Hometown Hero.

Instructions

1. Know your customers. Some are more patient than others. Some absolutely hate sitting next to kids while others just have to yap on their cell phones. By knowing your customers instead of trying to pile them into whatever seat is open, you can maximize your points. Keep the families away from the business people. Put the teen boys and girls next to each other and they flirt, giving each other hearts. The construction guys are very patient but eat twice.

2. Serve drinks and decorations often. Drinks add hearts and decorations add points. If you are only grabbing one dinner ticket, grab a drink. If you are carrying back a plate, grab another drink. Give the drinks to people with low patience or were forced to sit next to crying babies or cell phone users.

3. Coordinate colors. It may seem tough to do at first, but seating according to the colors adds points quick, too. Every customer adds matching colors to the chairs. Just be patient enough to scroll around your customers and watch their eyes light up while sitting in their favorite seats.

4. Pay attention to the end game clean up. You'll notice that in Hometown Hero you get bonus points for doing the same tasks in a row. It is difficult to keep up with during the open hours of the restaurant, but when it is closing time, Flo can get a lot of points by NOT cleaning up. Seat and serve the last of your customers, cleaning only the places where you need seating. Once you serve all the dishes, load the patrons up on drinks. When they are finished, collect the checks from all the patrons before their dishes. And then watch your points double and quadruple for every set of dishes you pick up in a row!

Tips & Warnings

• Sit the Local Celebs in the middle of the restaurant but serve them first and quickly. They don't like crowds but everyone gets "starstruck" by them and gain hearts.
