How to Make Bubble Wands
Children of all ages love blowing bubbles. Bubble solutions purchased at the store come with a single bubble wand. If you want bubbles of other sizes, or if you happen to lose the bubble wand you have, you can purchase more at the store. However, bubble wands are easy to make with things you have around the house. Using homemade bubble wands will also save you money because it allows you to make your own bubble solution using a little dishsoap and a little glycerin.

Poke a hole in the middle of a fly swatter with a pair of scissors. Cut a hole in the fly swatter approximately one inch in diameter. You can cut several holes in the same fly swatter, which will make more bubbles per dip. Remember that little bubbles will come out through the holes that are already in the fly swatter. These are nice to make because they have long handles. You can also just swing them through the air rather than blowing on them, which is nice for very small children who cannot blow bubbles very well yet.

Poke a hole in the middle of a plastic lid to a yogurt, cottage cheese, or sour cream (or something similar). Cut a hole in the middle of the lid. Use the lip on the lid to hold onto while dipping it into the bubble solution.

Twist a pipe cleaner into a loop. Twist another pipe cleaner around the loop and secure it. The second pipe cleaner will serve as a handle. Simply dip the loop in the bubble solution while holding the handle.
