Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Whip up some egg yolks. Next time you are dividing an egg to use just the whites, don’t throw the yolks down the drain. Egg yolk makes for a firming and refreshing face mask. Simply whip up a yolk and then lightly spread it on your face. Leave it in place for at least 15 minutes or until it hardens then rinse with cool water.
Step2
Mash a strawberry mask. Another fine face mask can be made with strawberries. Cut off the stems and chop the strawberries into tiny pieces. Use a flat object, such as a potato masher lined with foil, to mush the strawberries into a paste. Apply a layer to your face for at least 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
Step3
Slice some cucumbers. Cucumbers make very refreshing eye pads. Simply slice up the cukes into medium width, chill long enough to make them cold and apply to your eyes. You will want to lie on your back, close your eyes and balance the cucumber slices right over your eye sockets. Relax with the eye masks for 10 minutes or as long as you wish.
Step4
Squeeze out a grapefruit or two. Fresh grapefruit juice works wonders on tense, tired feet. Fill a bucket with warm water and squeeze out the juice from a grapefruit or two. Soak your feet in the grapefruit juice and water for 30 minutes or more for a fine, softening agent on your tired tootsies. This works great in the summer with cold water instead of warm. The scent is simply delicious.
Step5
Steep a tea bag. Tea bags work wonders on tired eyes or even for getting rid of horrible things like cysts. For the eyes, prepare a cup of tea as usual then remove the tea bag and allow to cool. Make sure the tea bags are squeezed dry then chill and place on your eyes. For cysts, prepare the tea, squeeze out the bag and apply to the cyst with the tea bag as hot as you can possibly stand. Leave both in place for at least 10 minutes. Reheat the cyst tea bags as necessary.
