Christina Aguilera began her career in exactly the same way that Britney Spears, Keri Russell and Justin Timberlake did! She was the star of the Disney Channel's hit show "MMC" (otherwise known as the "Mickey Mouse Club" for those who are secure enough in their fan hood to call it by its rightful name). She's come a long way since then, and she is now an icon of a pop music performer. Here is how you can create your own Christina Aguilera costume this Halloween, or for any occasion where a fun masquerade is called for.

Listen to the music of Christina and watch her music videos. You will be able to capture her moods and spirit if you have done your homework. Perhaps you loved her hits a few years ago, but give yourself a refresher course so that you can create the most effective costume.

Place on a blond wig. This should be styled and straight but feel free to spray some sparkles in your hair. You have an edge, but it doesn't cover the fact that you are every bit the pop princess that Britney Spears is.

Choose your costume. Go with the one that's appropriate for her first hit, "Genie in a Bottle." That would be a genie costume. Many stores carry them both in tribute to this and "I Dream of Jeannie." Once you start to hum a few bars of that song, your costume will be instantly recognizable. Consider putting on a 1920s-style dress to capture yet another well-known Christina look.
