How to Twist in a Nose Ring

Things You'll Need
- Nose screw or ring
- Mirror
- Anti-bacterial soap, salt water or other piercing cleanser

Clean the pierced area with anti-bacterial soap, salt-water or the cleaner given to you by the body piercing shop. Wash your hands, too.

Put the flat side of your thumb inside your nostril. This will help to widen the piercing hole and make it easier to get the nose screw, or ring, in.

Place the pointy end of the screw into the hole on the outside of your nose if you have a nose stud screw. Use a mirror to do this. Turn the screw clockwise and push gently.If desired, you can wet your nose with water. This sometimes helps the jewelry slide in eaiser.

Remove your thumb from your nostril once you feel the end of the screw touch your thumb. Continue to turn the screw until it slides in.

Use pliers to separate the two ends of the jewelry for a nose ring. Push one end of the nose ring through, until you feel it go through the hole.Slide it all the way through and, using your fingers, squeeze the two ends of the ring back together. If the ring has a ball, squeeze the ring together, leaving a little space, and shimmy the ball in between the two ends of the ring.
