Step 1
Choose one or two shades of loose eye makeup that complement your skin tone and add subtle color while still looking natural.
-
Step 2
Tap the eye shadow container gently on the counter to loosen the makeup inside. You can also tap the sides of the container to help loosen the makeup. Keep the lid on the container when you do this so the makeup doesn't escape out the top.
-
Step 3
Swirl your fingertip or a sponge-tipped eye makeup applicator through the loose eye shadow in a circular motion. The circular motion will evenly coat your fingertip or the applicator. For a thin line of shadow along your eyelid, use a small, narrow brush.
-
Step 4
Brush the loose eye shadow gently over your eyelid, working from the inside corner of your eye outward. Use several light, quick strokes to apply the eye shadow evenly.
-
Step 5
Apply the eye shadow with the lightest shade first, brushing it from the edge of your eyelid up to your brow bone. Apply the eye shadow evenly on both eyelids.
-
Step 6
Add a darker accent shade next, applying the second shade in the same pattern as the first. Work from the inside corner of your eye outwards. Use a separate fingertip or makeup applicator to gently blend the two shades of loose eye shadow together so they look like one beautiful color.
