Things You'll Need

  • 1 large, ripe banana
  • Blender or food processor
  • 1 small ripe mango
  • Oil from 1 vitamin E capsule
  • 1 tsp. cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil
  • Plastic wrap or shower cap

Instructions

    • 1

      Peel the ripe banana and break it into large chunks. Put the banana chunks in a blender or food processor.

    • 2

      Wash and peel the ripe mango, and remove the seed. Add the mango halves to the blender or food processor.

      Puncture a vitamin E capsule and squeeze the vitamin E oil and olive oil on top of the mango and banana.

      Turn the blender on medium speed and blend the mango hair moisturizer until it's smooth and the fruit and vitamin E oil blend well.

      Shampoo your hair as usual and slather the mango hair moisturizer into your hair. Use a large-tooth comb to work the moisturizer evenly through to the ends of your hair.

      Cover your hair with plastic wrap or a shower cap and allow the mango hair moisturizer to remain in your hair for 15 to 20 minutes.

      Rinse the mango moisturizer from your hair with warm water and shampoo it again.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your hair is very dry, add the oil from an extra vitamin E capsule.
