Step 1
Click on your START button, located in the bottom left hand corner of your desk top. Right-click on MY COMPUTER, and then click on PROPERTIES.

Click on the SYSTEM RESTORE tab in the SYSTEM PROPERTIES dialog box.

Click on the check box select the "Turn off System Restore." (Or, click on the check box next to "Turn off System Restore on all drives.") Click on APPLY.

Click Yes when prompted, to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore.

Click on the SYSTEM RESTORE tab in the SYSTEM PROPERTIES dialog box.

Click on the checkbox next to "Turn off System Restore" to clear the check box. (Or click on the check box next to "Turn off System Restore on all drives.")

Click OK. The "System Properties" dialog box will close and you'll have "System Restore" turned back on.
