How to Find Cheap School Supplies

If you have children you know that you have to buy school supplies. Knowing when to buy is essential in getting the savings.

1. Usually after July 4th Target clears out the patio furniture and lawn supplies to get ready for the school supplies. When they put the supplies out they usually start out with really good prices on the school supplies. Even if you don't have the list from the school (which they are hoping for) it is good to stock up. Last year I spent 32 cents on Cralyon jumbo markers, 10 cents on scissors, and 1.00 for 10 spiral notebooks. Every week before school starts they have really good deals on the name brand stuff, the deals are much better than the clearance price the run after school starts. Remember they don't put the first few weeks of deals on the school supplies in the ad, you actually have to go up there and look for the good deals. Check below in the next few weeks, I will update the deals I get so that everyone will know when to go and what to get!
2. Wal-Mart does the same thing but you have to be careful, they do not always run the name brand stuff on sale but they still have good deals. I usually don't go to Wal-Mart but for those that can't get to a Target it is a good alternative.
3. Another good way to save money is to look at your Sunday Paper. A lot of the supply stores will have money savings coupons, just try to be the first one to the store on Sunday so that the supplies are there when you get there.
4. Start Early!!! If you don't, you will be stuck running from store to store looking for supplies and paying top dollar for it!!!!
