How to Identify Symptoms of Sinus Polyp Headaches

Sinus polyps are grape-like nodules that occurs in the nasal passages and/or lining. They are usually non-cancerous, seen primarily in adults and can cause headaches. When they do occur in children, which is rare, it may be an early warning sign of cystic fibrosis. Polyps are usually treated medically first with cortisone treatment and if this course is unsuccessful, surgery to remove the polyps may be necessary.
