Go Fish is a kids cards game that is a fun way to learn numbers and to learn to play games. Playing Go Fish online will be a slightly different experience than playing in person, but the same game mechanics will be in place.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
  1. Step 1

Visit some of your favorite online game websites to see if they have Go Fish. If not, then you may have to conduct a search to find an online version of Go Fish to play. Some online versions will pit you against the computer while others will allow other players to join your game.

  2. Step 2

Begin play. The object of Go Fish is to be the one with the most sets of cards at the end of the game. A set is all four suits of the same rank.

  3. Step 3

On your turn you will ask an opponent if they have a certain rank of a card that you are looking for. You might ask if your opponent has any threes. To ask a player online, simply click the rank of the card in your hand.

  4. Step 4

If they have the rank, then they will give it to you. If not, you will have to go fish - click on the draw pile to collect a card.

  5. Step 5

The game is over when either one person runs out of cards or the stock pile is depleted. The person with the most sets wins the game.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wait to ask for cards until you are close to getting a set. By asking for cards you are letting your opponent know what you need. Don't let them know until you are really close to completing a set.
  • Some versions may require you to download a plugin to play. Read any download notices carefully before you agree to have anything installed on your computer.
