It is easy to have fun once you are in Los Cabo, Mexico...the beaches (Lover's Beach, Divorce Beach, and more), Sea of Cortez, Pacific Ocean, and desserts...how could it not be fun?!?!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flight tickets (generally speaking)
  • Hotel stay (could be split amongst family and friends to save $)
  1. Step 1

I recommend looking on line for a package deal. Sometimes you can purchase, a car rental, hotel or resort, airfare, and food all in a special package rate.

  2. Step 2
    Royal Solaris

    Royal Solaris

Consider staying at an all inclusive hotel or resort in either San Lucas or San Jose. We stayed at the Royal Solaris and love it!

  3. Step 3
    Sea of Cortez

    Sea of Cortez

Hop a boat to Lover's Beach on the Sea of Cortez. The water is calm - generally. Perhaps even take a snorkeling adventure. Look at the rock formations. There are little to no seashells.

  4. Step 4
    Pacific Ocean

    Pacific Ocean

From Lover's Beach, walk over to Divorce Beach on the Pacific Ocean side in San Lucas. The water is generally harsh and unforgiving.

  5. Step 5
    The famous arch

Bring a water camera and snap a few pictures of the arch.

  6. Step 6

Before booking your trip, look at the months for whale season. The crowds will be thicker, but you will not regret it.

  7. Step 7
    Sea lions

Look for sea lions on the rocks of the beaches.

  8. Step 8

Keep a sharp eye for crabs on the beach.

  9. Step 9
    History at its best

    History at its best

San Jose is great in terms of shopping. It is alot less crowded than San Lucas. It is also historic - walk past the church...a great photo opportunity.

  10. Step 10

Kayaking is a good way to experience the water and the sea life below.

  11. Step 11

Fishing or diving is a great way to experience the vast fish types.

  12. Step 12

I recommend Damiana in San Jose for good Mexican food - a little pricey - but good to experience local food. You can sit on the back patio in garden.

  13. Step 13
ATVs can be fun - but be careful!

ATVs can be fun - but be careful!

Take an ATV excursion over the sand dunes and along the beach.

  14. Step 14

Account for extra time needed to get through customs.

  15. Step 15

Be sure to check travel and baggage restrictions for your airline, if needed. This includes liquid amounts and number of allowed checked bags.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear walking or water shoes
  • Bring several swimsuits
  • Consider wearing suntan lotion - I recommend one that is natural or without parabens
  • Crime is low in the area, but use caution
  • When there, I saw a lady get ripped off by a vendor passing fake money.
