How to Make Strawberry Skin Moisturizer

Strawberries are a delicious way to celebrate summer. Just thinking about them can make you feel cool and refreshed by conjuring images of a dip in a pool or a luscious strawberry ice cream pie. However, strawberries are not just a treat for the palate; they can also be a very beneficial element of your beauty regimen. You can make this moisturizer at any time of year in your own kitchen, then rub on a bit of summer to keep your skin smooth and your outlook bright.

Things You'll Need

• 3 large strawberries
• Paring knife
• Food processor
• 1 tbs. olive oil
• 1 tbs. coconut oil
• 1 tbs. vegetable oil
• Vitamin E oil
• Small mixing bowl
• Airtight jar
• Spoon

Instructions

1. Clean the strawberries by running them under some cool water and removing their green tops with a paring knife.

2. Puree the strawberries in a food processor. They should make a fairly runny red liquid. You will still be able to see some seeds and the liquid will be pulpy, but run the food processor until you have made the strawberries as liquid as possible.

3. Mix the strawberry pulp, oils and vitamin E together in the mixing bowl. They should blend completely, making a thick red or pink lotion.

4. 

   Store the lotion in the refrigerator in an airtight jar. You can use the lotion regularly. After you have massaged the moisturizer in, you may need to rinse off your hands to remove the strawberry seeds.

Tips & Warnings

• You can decorate jars of strawberry moisturizer with red ribbons and give them as hostess gifts at picnics and barbecues.

• Test the lotion by rubbing a small amount on the inside of your wrist to make sure your skin will not be irritated by the compound.
