Things You'll Need:
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- Wire whisk
- Small mixing bowl
- Airtight plastic bottle
-
Step 1
Separate the yolk of the egg. You can do this by cracking the egg and allowing the clear fluid to drain out into the sink while catching the egg yolk in one of the halves of the shell.
-
Step 2
Mix the egg yolk and lemon juice in the bowl. You can whisk them together, but be careful not to whip too much air into the mixture.
-
Step 3
Add the oils gradually. The mixture will thicken as you add the oils. Continue to beat it gently with the whisk as you pour in the oils. If it becomes too thick to stir, add more lemon juice.
-
Step 4
Store your cold cream in the airtight plastic bottle. Do not allow it to get hot. You should apply the cream at least once a day in the evenings. Some people use it as a morning facial rinse as well.
