The newest Diet taking over the popular Hollywood Crowd at the moment is called the Lemon Detox Diet. Many of Hollywood's Elite are losing anywhere from 12 to 20 pounds in just two short weeks. There are enough nutrients in this Detox to keep you energized, yet enough to cleanse your body of unwanted toxins. If you are looking for a Detox that has been around for years and you are wanting to jump start your metabolism, the Lemon Detox Diet will get your body off to a great start.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 oz of ice cold Water.
  • 1/2 of a medium to large sized Lemon freshly squeezed.
  • 2 tablespoons of 100% Pure Maple Syrup.
  • A pinch of ground Cayenne Pepper or ground Ginger.
  • Drinking Glass.
  • Spoon.

    How to make the Lemon Detox Diet Drink.

  1. Step 1
    Start off with a Glass of cold Water.

    Take your Drinking Glass and fill half way to the top with 4 oz of very cold Water.

  2. Step 2
    Add a half of freshly squeezed Lemon.
     
    Add a half of freshly squeezed Lemon.

    Take your fresh Lemon Half and squeeze the Juice into the Drinking Glass, making sure to leave out the Pulp and the Seeds.

  3. Step 3
    Add your  Maple Syrup.
     
    Add your Maple Syrup.

    Add 2 tablespoons of Pure Maple Syrup.

  4. Step 4
    A dash of Cayenne Pepper.
     
    A dash of Cayenne Pepper.

    Add just a pinch of your choice of Cayenne Pepper or Ground Ginger to your Drinking Glass.

  5. Step 5
     

    Take your Spoon and stir well.

    Add another 4 oz of cold Water to your Drinking Glass. Stir again.

  7. Step 7
    Keep track of how much you drink.

    Drink this 8 oz Detox Drink a minimum of six to eight times a day for seven to fourteen days for maximum weight loss results.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your Water is ice cold just before your drink it, this helps aid in the Detox Process.
  • Use fresh ground Ginger or Cayenne Pepper for a crisp, sharp taste.
  • Buy fresh Lemons and squeeze just before serving for maximum freshness and taste.
  • Try to stay on the diet for the allotted time for the best results.
  • You may feel sluggish and weak the first couple of days; at this point your body is releasing toxins and getting rid of unwanted fat.
  • Always consult your Physician before starting this or any other weight loss program.
  • If you begin to feel extremely lightheaded or dizzy, sit down and ask for assistance.
  • Do not use imitation Lemon Juice as it will not give you the toxin releasing benefits as pure Lemon Juice does.
  • Do not eat any solid foods while on this Diet.
  • Do not use anything but pure Maple Syrup as it could have added Sugars and Preservatives that could stall your weight loss.

on 11/4/2009 I've done this diet before - just about to start again to lose my winter weight. Two things you need to be aware of with this article...
First tip says to serve ice cold - this is INCORRECT. The best temperature for any food or water is room temperature - this is easiest for your body to digest. Your body must work harder to digest hot and cold, and the harder your body is working to digest, the less time it spends eliminating toxins.
SECONDLY - Elimination is an ESSENTIAL part of this diet. You must have at least one bowel movement per day, even though you will not have much in there by the end. This is icky, but must be done. The proper pack that you buy online provides senna tea, a mild laxative tea to be drunk early evening (I take mine just before i leave work) - don't leave it too late or you'll be up in the middle of the night! Senna tea can be bought at most health foo...

on 10/20/2009 i started on monday that was a rough day i cheated & had a piece of lasanga but yestreday was cool i did not eat drink lots of water & my lemon detox. today i do not feel hungry my stomache has not growled or anything but i keep thinking of food my friend says due to my eating food 33 yrs , anyway wish me luck i will keep everyone up dated on my progress
