How to Make Pores Appear Smaller

Pores are visible on most people over a certain age. They are a fact of life. Pores can look even worse when they are clogged with oil, however. Visible pores are never going to be non-existent, but with a few simple tasks and a small change in diet, you can make sure your pores appear as small as possible.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pore-refining cleanser
  • Matte powder or blotting sheets (optional)
  • Oil-free foundation, light (optional)

Make Pores Appear Smaller

Step1
Wash your face twice daily (morning and night) with your pore-refining cleanser.
Step2
Use matte powder or blotting sheets on any areas that are especially shiny (optional for males as they may not like to do this).
Step3
Use a light, oil-free foundation for coverage (if you are female, or a male that is very comfortable with his sexuality). Use foundation in the areas that you want to cover up your pores.
Step4
Eat healthy. This includes lots of fruits, fresh fish, and vegetables. Cantaloupe and berries are especially helpful.
Step5
Stop eating processed foods. This is especially true of foods that contain trans-fatty acids. This should be easier these days because some cities and restaurants have outlawed the use of trans-fat. Other fats can be substituted, including extra virgin olive oil.
Step6
Visit your dermatologist for some extra hints, or even some medications if your dermatologist thinks they are necessary.
