Bingo is one of those games that you can’t help but love. While some people love Bingo, and will gladly play it if they get a chance, others are absolutely fanatics for the game. If the future bride is one of those people who is crazy for Bingo, you will want to throw a Bingo theme bridal shower.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase Bridal Shower Bingo Cards. Target has a very attractive set for less than $20.00. Instead of saying spelling B-I-N-G-O across the top, they spell out the word B-R-I-D-E . You also have the option to print free bridal shower bingo cards online. Just search for “free bridal shower bingo printable."

  2. Step 2

Make invitations with a Bingo theme using clipart found online. There are some fun images found at the resource below. Add a cute poem. You can also purchase pre-printed bingo bridal shower cards from a resource link below.

  3. Step 3

Decorate the room in the colors the bride is using for her wedding. Keep it simple and pretty with a few crepe paper wedding decorations that the bride may want to re-use for the wedding. Serve finger foods that aren’t messy so that guests can nibble while they are playing the game.

  4. Step 4

Play Bingo. The rules for Bingo are the same as the a typical bingo game. Each person gets a card and the caller calls out the words on the card. (Instead of numbers, you will see words like “bake ware”, “coffee grinder”, and gift ideas. When the players get five squares in a row, they win.

  5. Step 5

Have great prizes. If you are going to play bingo, you need to have great prizes. Supply a gift certificate to a local restaurant, or spa. If the participants like to gamble, have each person put in $10.00 and the winner would get back half of the pot. The other half would go to the bride as a shower gift. You can also create gift baskets to give as prizes.

  6. Step 6

Bridal bingo game variation: Give each guest a blank card with a grid as shown in this illustration. Have them write a different gift in each square based on what they think the bride will get at the shower. The first person to get gifts right in a row wins.

  7. Step 7

Bridal bingo game variation 2: Instead of writing gifts on the cards, guests can write words that people might say such as the bride and grooms names, wedding, bride, honeymoon, or party. Whenever they hear someone say a word on their card they call out the word they got. When they get five in a row, they win. This may be a fast game, so you may want to continue for a full card and a grand prize.

Tips & Warnings
  • There are may variations of the game you can play. When deciding consider what the bride AND the guests might like. If the bride is young and has a registry for the party, the first game might be appropriate. For an older bride with friend who regularly play bingo for money, having a jackpot may be appropriate.
  • Let hardcore bingo player know that they will be playing a variation of bingo and not the real thing.
