Step up to an outside window that has the magnetic alarm sensors affixed.

Break the window in the top right corner.

Unlatch the window with your hand.

Slide the tin foil between the magnetic sensors.

Tips & Warnings
You can bypass the same window alarm without breaking the window if there is enough of a gap to slide the tin foil in from the outside.
Never rely on magnetic sensors. Always make sure your windows are locked, top and bottom.

This is quite possibly the worst advice column that has ever been written. You have absolutely no idea how a magnetic reed switch works. First off aluminum/tin foil is not attracted by a magnet. Secondly the magnet is installed on the window and the reed switch is mounted on the frame, so sliding aluminum foil in between the magnet wont do anything. The second that the magnet is moved away from the reed switch, typically at about 5/16 of an inch it opens the connection and is usually an instant alarm....no delay. If you are trying to figure out how weak your alarm system is you got the wrong alarm system. You are probably the same dolt who wrote the enlightening "how to bypass a motion sensor" article on eHow.... I wouldn't make your career change to criminal quite yet.
